Dancing Stage EuroMIX ist ein Spielautomat und Konsolenspiel von Konami. Die Arcade-Version wurde in 1999 veröffentlicht, die Sony PlayStation Version folgte in 2001. Eine aktualisierte "Internet Ranking"-Version des Spielautomaten wurde später veröffentlicht mit 6 neuen Liedern (durch einen Aufkleber beim Spielenamen erkenntlich).
Bis heute, ist Dancing Stage EuroMIX das einzige europäische Konsolenversion von Dancing Stage das mit dem dem Spielautomaten-Spiel zu 100% identisch ist. Die nächste geplante Heimversion der Serie wird wahrscheinlich mit dem veröffentlichten Spielautomatenspiel Dancing Stage SuperNOVA übereinstimmen.
Gemeinsamkeiten mit den japanischen Versionen
Dancing Stage EuroMIX entspricht der japanischen Version von Dance Dance Revolution 3rdMIX, mit Ausnahme einer etwas verkleinerten Liedauswahl, die eine Mischung aus den Liedern von Dance Dance Revolution 2ndMIX und Dance Dance Revolution 3rdMIX und zusätzlich 8 Europa-exklusiven Liedern ist. Im Unterschied zu Dance Dance Revolution 3rdMIX hat die Konsolenversion von Dancing Stage EuroMIX keinen "Edit-Modus". Im Editmodus kann der Spieler eigene Stepcharts zu den Liedern erstellen. Auch hat die Arcade-Version keine PlayStation-kompatible Speicherkarten-Steckplätze.
Eigenschaften der Heimversion
Die Heimversion dieses Spiels hat einige zusätzliche Features die bei einem Spielhallengerät nicht sinnvoll sind. Dies sind:
- Trainingsmodus - In diesem Modus kann der Spieler ganz bestimmte Abschnitte eines Lieds spielen, mit verschiedenen Einstellungen für die Geschwindigkeit und der Darstellung der Pfeile.
- Lernmodus - Nicht zu verwechseln mit dem Trainingsmodus. Hier werden einfache Übungen angeboten, die neue Spieler beim Lernen der richtigen Spieltechnik unterstützt.
- Workoutmodus - Wird dieser Modus ausgewählt, kann der Spieler angeben, wieviele Kalorien er/sie während des Spielen verbrennen möchte. Leute können damit das Spiel als Teil eines Fitnessprogramms verwenden.
- Rekorde - Die Spielkonsolen-Version speichert je Lied Highscore, Punkte und Combo, die über diesen Menüpunkt angezeigt werden können
- Optionen - Hier kann der Spieler das Spiel auf verschiedene Weise anpassen und zum Beispiel Helligkeit der Hintergrundvideos und die Lautstärke der Soundeffekte im Spiel einstellen.
- Spielerauswahl - In der Arcadeversion von Dancing Stage EuroMIX werden die Spielertypen standardmäßig zufällig ausgesucht. Über das Optionenmenü kann die Spielerauswahl aktiviert werden.
Internet Ranking-Version
Konami hat zu dem Dancing Stage EuroMIX Spielhallengerät eine aktualisierte Version herausgebraucht, die als die "Internet Ranking"-Version bekannt ist. Der Name ist jedoch etwas irreführend, denn das Gerät kann sich nicht mit dem Internet verbinden. Interessant sind jedoch die zusätzlichen 6 Lieder gegenüber der Originalversion, die durch einen Aufkleber am Namenslogo beworben wurden. Diese zusätzlichen Lieder sind alle Produktionen der Konami-eigenen Komponisten.
Ende der Übersetzung
The Internet Ranking version of the game added an extra option to the song selection wheel which had similar functionality to the built-in nonstop mode, except the player must play a selection of songs which have already been chosen. The selection of songs on an Internet Ranking machine changes depending on the current month.
Upon completing an Internet Ranking nonstop course, the machine would display the player's final score along with a code consisting of numbers and letters, which could be submitted to Konami's website as part of a Europe-wide ranking chart. The overall highest ranking players were awarded prizes by Konami for their achievements.
Soundtrack
The music in the different versions of these games come from three different sources. All versions of the game contain 8 specially licensed tracks from Universal Music Group. These songs are signified by having similar graphics in the song selection wheel and by displaying the Universal logo at the bottom of the screen.
In the arcade version of the game, there are also 10 tracks licensed from EMI Group plc, which previously appeared in Japanese versions of the game. All of these songs can be found on CDs belonging to Toshiba-EMI's (the Japanese division, a joint venture with Toshiba) compilation series Dancemania. Despite some of these licenses (most notably songs such as "Captain Jack (Grandale Mix)") being very popular with players of the arcade game, they did not appear in the home version of the game. It is likely that the songs were omitted from the home version of the game because they would have been too expensive to license for this format additionally.
The remainder of the songlists of each version consist of songs composed and produced by Konami's inhouse music composers - primarily Naoki Maeda and Yuuichi Asami though under the guise of several different pseudonyms.

Hidden features
One of the downsides of the home version of this game is that it has no unlockable features. For some video game players this dramatically reduced the lifespan of the game, since there is no incentive to play the game for long periods of time except for the player's possible desire to improve their own scores.
There is however the hidden feature of Double Mode, in which the user must perform a routine spanning both player's dance pads. This is selectable by holding the O or X buttons on the home version, or the green selection button on the arcade versions whilst on the title screen.
