Allgemeines
Pump it Up Pro ist der 5 Panel "Nachfolger" des geplanten 4 Panel Spiels In The Groove 3 (Arcade), welches aufgrund der Uebernahme von Konami nicht mehr weiterentwickelt wird. Ein Teil des ehemaligen ITG-Teams entschied sich mit Andamiro zusammenzuarbeiten und eine weitere PIU-Serie herauszubringen, welche parallel zur normalen PIU-Serie laeuft, aber eher fuer den amerikanischen Markt gedacht ist bzw. ein "Nachfolger" der erfolgreichen Serie In The Groove.
Neue Features
- Das ganze Spiel basiert auf einem sehr stark modifizierten Stepmania wie bei In The Groove.
- Es wurden fuer die Erleichterung der Bedienung Push-Buttons angebracht, im Stile von ITG
- USB-Stick Unterstuetzung (Stepedits, Scores speichern wie bei ITG)
- Progressive Modus
- Sehr viele Modifier wie bei ITG auswaehlbar
- Die Schwierigkeitsscala geht von 1 bis 16
- Rolls und Mines wie bei ITG

Pump It Up Pro (abbreviated as PIUPRO or Pump Pro, and marketed as Pump it up PRO) is an upcoming game in the Pump It Up series. The product will be "a branch of the Pump It Up brand"[1] that will not interfere with the "classic" Pump It Up games . It combines elements of In the Groove and Pump It Up and was designed with the intent of getting players who normally play 4-panel dance games into 5-panel dancing.
Notable contributors include Kyle Ward, who also contributed many songs and step charts to In The Groove and its sequel. Despite this, Pump It Up Pro is claimed to have no association with In The Groove or Roxor.
Pump Pro is based on a modified version of the open source StepMania game engine, which was originally designed to simulate the Dance Dance Revolution series.
