Dance Dance Revolution ULTRAMIX ist die sechste DDR-Heimversion in den USA und das erste DDR-Spiel für die Xbox. Es wurde am 19. November 2003 von Konami exklusiv in Nordamerika veröffentlicht, eine Adaptierung namens Dancing Stage Unleashed wurde für Europa angefertigt. Ultramix hat 51 Songs, davon neun versteckt. 15 Songs sind neu in DDR.

Das Spiel wurde von Konami Digital Entertainment, vormals Konami Computer Entertainment Hawaii, entwickelt und veröffentlicht.

Die Bedienoberfläche ist eine Farbabwandlung und Glättung des Song Wheel, welches erstmals in den USA mit DDRMAX eingeführt wurde. Die Namen der Schwierigkeitsgrade sind Light, Standard und Heavy wie in DDRMAX. Durch Betätigen der Starttaste kann man die Sortierreihenfolge ändern:

  • Standard (neue Songs zuerst, dann wiederkehrende Songs, dann Unlocks)
  • alphabetisch
  • nach BPM
  • nach Beliebtheit

Die Punktvergabe wurde geändert. Die Höchstpunktzahl für einen Song ist Füße mal 50 Millionen.

Im Challenge Mode muß ein Spieler eine Reihe schwieriger werdender Aufgaben schaffen, um mehr Unlocks zu erhalten.

Im Workout Mode zeichnet das Spiel die Leistung der Leibesertüchtigung in Kalorien auf.

Live Mode nutzt den Onlinespieldienst Xbox Live. Eine Internetverbindung wird benötigt. Spieler können sich online gegen andere Spieler in Nordamerika messen. Es gibt eine globale Rangliste.
